Interviewing.
What to say, how to say it, when to say it, what NOT to say…arrrggggh, these are some of things that fly through your brain when you get that all important interview.
The library has several books and dvd’s that will help guide you through this process. The basic summary of most of these resources, point out that you should look clean, act respectful, prepare and try to be yourself.
To help you prepare, we have all kinds of print and online materials that you can use to learn about the company that you will be interviewing with. Most interviewers are impressed with the fact that you are taking the opportunity seriously and bothered to take the time to learn something about the organization.
You can also check out books that have sample interview questions. Sometimes just practicing answering some of the queries outloud is great preparation for the real thing. It’s not that you are faking anything, but you can learn how to promote yourself in a comfortable confident way.
